Horticultural Sciences Minors

The Horticultural Sciences Department offers three minors.

Horticultural Sciences- If you are interested in learning more about fruits, vegetables and ornamentals, consider the Horticultural Sciences Minor.  Students can learn about horticultural crop production, greenhouse/protected agriculture, herbs & medicinal plants, and more. 

Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology- This interdisciplinary minor is designed for students desiring academic training and hands-on experience in current plant molecular biology techniques. Students will obtain training that will help prepare them for graduate school, laboratory positions and the expanding plant biotechnology marketplace.

Organic and Sustainable Crop Production - Do you ever wonder where organic produce comes from? How do organic farming practices differ from traditional agriculture? This combination of courses will help you learn more about the organic products available today.
